SUPPORT TO ASSOCIATIONS

YOUNG CLIMATE AMBASSADORS

JAC is an association that wants to provide everyone with the keys to becoming an actor, on their own scale, of the ecological transition. The Young Climate Ambassadors animate interventions in college, high school, and university to educate young people on climate issues while sharing their experience of international negotiations in which they participate each year.

DOCUMENTARY

by the High School St. Paul de Vannes

UN COCON SUR UN FIL

At the initiative of the students of the St. Paul de Vannes High School, and its Manager, M. LE RU , in partnership with  AFNU and Reuters , a thirty minutes documentary was made on  the United Nations.

The main goal of this documentary is to understand how the Organization  works daily on major issues that our world is facing, in terms of military conflicts and peace-keeping operations, of human rights, economic, social and energy challenges of tomorrow. The structuring of international relations has changed over time and the filmmakers also wanted to put forth how the United Nations adapts to the new challenges it faces.

From the stories collected from personalities who have had high-level responsibilities in the UN (Bernard MIYET, Jean-Marc DE LA SABLIERE, General Dominique TRINQUAND, Alain DEJAMMET, etc.), the documentary puts into perspective the strengths and weaknesses of this organization and offers an insight of its future.

PROGRAM
BE UNITED NATIONS

It is an educational program designed to promote the United Nations’ values, to promote peace, sustainable development, and dialogue between peoples by promoting   Agenda 2030. The aim is to encourage the investment of the young generations, including college students and high school students, in order for them to understanding the challenges of tomorrow’s world. The project is also driven by the St. Paul High School.

LIST OF MUN’S

  • Model United Nations is made for students passionate about the United Nations and international relations, willing to get to know the rules of international negotiations and at the same time improve their ability to express themselves in public in English and French.

  • MUN consists in organizing negotiation simulations where participants, known as “delegated”, represent a country or an organization.

  • These simulations follow the rules of procedure of the United Nations. The ‘President’, who is also a student, leads the debate and help delegates to write their resolutions and amendments.

  • MUN is an international network, recognized by the United Nations, but also by universities or companies. It is very valuable on a student’s resume.
  • It is also a great opportunity to be part of a team, to travel and to meet students from other countries in the framework of major international conferences.
